In the artworks I will present this year at Third Horizon Film Festival, a Caribbean film festival, signifiers of the Caribbean have found themselves bountifully expressed, not necessarily intentionally, quite effortlessly throughout. Computer generated models of human and plant forms, witness to the regional twists of DNA, the genetics of the place, are there. Body language in family photos at forgotten beaches is there. A kind of digital Mas is there in symbolic costuming and rhythmic animation and Carnival colours. There’s more too, but by myself I wouldn’t see all of it. I’m excited to share what I’ve made with this very special audience.
